Classic statement of the Behaviorist view that "the prediction and control of behavior" is "psychology's sole task." See also JBW, Psychology from the Standpoint of a Behaviorist (1919), and his work for lay readers, Behaviorism (1924, 1925; rev. edn. 1930).
