Relevant here for a CIA device that allows getting into the minds of others, including a cat, Stan Smith, Francine Smith, and Roger (the resident alien). Note image of characters in a very basic lab, recumbent with metal caps on, connected to the machine and another or, eventually, two others — with the mind entrance taking them to surreal dreamscapes. Cf. and contrast the earlier BRAINSTORM (1988), DREAMSCAPE (film, 2007), and somewhat later INCEPTION (2010) and the general motif of mind (spirit, soul, consciousness)-transfer, sharing, and/or entrance into.[4]
