Archer: "Tragical History." Season 2, #6 (3 March 2011), #16 in running total of episodes.[1]

Summarized on the Archer wiki (linked above), "Tired of his colleagues['] constantly calling him a failure, Cyril agrees to help George Spelvin, a mysterious computer security expert, inject a pirate virus into the ISIS mainframe so Cyril can defeat the virus and be seen as a hero." See for comic handling in a contemporary — now past — setting of a computer "worm" taking over a system and, as in, say, WARGAMES, threatening World War III, in addition to revealing the names of ISIS and other agents.

(ISIS is the firm Archer et al. work for, not the political/terrorist group later in the century; since Cyril sells out — sells his soul, so speak — "Tragical History" can be read as an allusion to The Tragical History of the Life and Death of Doctor Faustus, at one time a famous play by Christopher Marlowe[2] [The Tragical History of Romeus and Juliet would not be relevant].)[3]
