IMDb places the film in the genres Action, Comedy, Thriller, which is correct enough and definitely correct in that BULLET TRAIN is not SF. The main site of the action, though, is the high-speed "Shinkansen" bullet-train from Tokyo to Kyoto,[5] and the action of the film makes good use of this real-world — in the world of the film — high-tech environment encompassing the cast.
