Black Sabbath. "Iron Man." From the album Paranoid, Vertigo (UK) and Warner Bros. (USA), 1971.[1] Available Warner, 1987.[2] Lyrics available on line, as of March 2023, here.[3]

Possibly a musical variation on T. Hughes's The Iron Man (1968 [q.v. under Fiction]), with touches of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (1818/1831) or the FRANKENSTEIN of James Whale (1931)[4]. In any case — in David J. Clark's summary, "a robot seeks revenge upon his creators, i.e., humankind."
