We will call it "recombinant cinema," in the SF/Horror tradition, useful here for picking up ideas and motifs from SPHERE, ALIEN (with a hint of ALIENS), a very quick shot or two of the eyes of a killer alien such as we see in PREDATOR, fans of the air-moving (not air-breathing) variety from BLADE RUNNER,communication over time and space somewhat like CONTACT (movie), a crew that is MAROONED — but with a lot more space to move around — and other relevant films. Note for images of life contained in mechanism, including that spaceship crew in two different spacecraft with elegant exterior designs and — within an alien sphere — the requirements for the genesis of life on Earth or an Earthlike planet. Note that the monster on board is described as "bio-robotic," but seems much more organic than, say, H. R. Giger's Alien.
