Mid-1980s college textbook on real-world robots. Chapters include "An Introduction to Robotics," "History of Robotics," "Intelligent Robot Programming"—where the "Intelligent" modifies "Robot" (among other things, the chapter covers AI and Machine Intelligence), "Social Impact of Industrial Robots," "Responsible Technology," and "Robots Today and Tomorrow." The last chapter has five brief subsections beginning "Robots in" and supplies as objects of the "in" Medical and Patient Care Applications, Hostile or Remote Environments, Education, and Agriculture; the chapter begins with a section on Advances in Robot Intelligence and ends with Mobile Robots; the remaining sections are on Domestic and Entertainment Robots and what's just called The Military.
