THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE. Chris McKay, director. Seth Grahame-Smith, story. Grahame-Smith, Chris McKenna, et al., script. From LEGO, and Bob Kane, Bill Finger, Batman comics character.[1] Grant Freckelton, production design. Denmark/USA: DC Entertainment, Warner, et al. (production) / Warner Bros. (US and most other distribution), 2017. See IMDb for other credits.[2]

Animation family fantasy/comic-book adventure. Relevant here for script and visuals putting Batman between going it alone, aided by his high-tech mechanical-electronic-cybernetic Batgadgets — including 'Puter, the Batcave and travel computer, voiced by Siri (sic)[3] — and human relationships. Batman is finally able to have both, sharing his world and big-boy toys with a reconstituted Bat-/Wayne family of Dick Grayson/Robin, Barbara Gordon/Batgirl, Alfred/Alfred as 1960s TV Batman — with The Joker in a personal relationship with Batman, who can now declare that he hates Joker (hatred being one of the feelings Batman has gotten in touch with, plus the compassion showed in giving Joker the hatred Joker wants from Batman).

LEGO BATMAN is rife with highly self-aware allusions, including visuals of portals and hexagonal forms, with the hexagons including those of coffin-shape, as in e.g., 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY[4]
