On STAR WARS, STAR TREK: THE MOTION PICTURE, and THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK (all cited under Drama). Relates these films to Romantic rebellion: the spaceship "as a marvelous machine could aptly symbolize the material culmination of the Age of Reason . . . . In the context of the Science Fiction film, however, the spaceship signifies a denial of this philosophy."
