Comic book. Loki, the Norse god of mischief, tells truth and reveals that ". . . it is not the blood of immortals that makes ever-vigilant Heimdall unbeatable—rather it is neurotechnology that heightens his perception and accelerates his responses—neurotechnology that can be turned off" (23). Heimdall's neurotech is jammed, yielding the twilight of a mechanical god.
